My Year Quest

This year, I have challenged myself to connect with readers in a fun and engaging way! I’ve set up themes for each day of the week, aiming to post at least once a month on each topic. Why start now and not at the start or end of the year or month? Because the best time to start would have been at the beginning of the month, year, or even several years ago, but the next best time is now. I’m tired of waiting for the perfect moment to challenge myself, so I am diving headfirst into the fun!

Sharing Sunday:
At least twice a month on Sundays, I will update one of my four short story series (Empath and Apath, The Cursed Prince, Becoming a Bard, and Cuddle Puppy) to share real-life scenarios in fun, fictional (mostly fantasy) settings.

Meditation Monday:
Meditation isn’t what I initially thought, and I’ve found it incredibly helpful for overcoming writing blocks and the feeling of eternal doom as a writer. At least once a month on Mondays, I will share glimpses into meditation practices I try. I’ll discuss what works for me and what doesn’t, aiming to help others see meditation as a valuable, motivational tool.

Tuesday Tryouts:
Constantly trying out new ideas, writing forms, and writing tips is a vital part of my writing process. Every other Tuesday, I will experiment with something new—whether it’s a writing activity, a new genre, or setting up my writing space differently. I’ll then share my experiences in my Tuesday Tryouts posts.

Writing Wednesday:
Being a writer means writing constantly. On Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest, I will post frequent writing prompts across many genres to help people get started. Every Writing Wednesday, I will share some of these prompts to kick-start everyone’s day with a bit of writing inspiration.

Thursday’s Thoughts:
Thursdays are my space to write about my writing process, including tips, idea generation, analysis of writing styles, talks on worldbuilding, or anything else on my mind. If you have a topic you’re curious about, please send me a message on any of my social media pages, and I’ll endeavor to address it in a Thursday post.

Fiction Friday:
At least once a month on Fridays, I will write a new short story, flash fiction, or engaging scene. My main genre is fantasy, but if you have a specific genre or prompt you’d like me to try, please let me know! Send me a message on any of my social media pages or comment at the bottom of the Fiction Friday page.

Saturday Summons:
Saturdays are for you—my favorite readers! I will summon all writers to a challenge, whether it be a short story prompt, a reflection, a new writing form, or reading a new book this week. I’ll post these on my social media accounts, and I would love for you to comment with your response to my challenge! Additionally, reach out via email if you’d like to be featured in the “Saturday Summons – Writers that Rose to the Occasion” section of my website (I’ll post it the following Saturday). I’ll pick a winner to feature, along with a few honorable mentions.
